Where can I take an IELTS or IELTS Life Skills test for a UK visa application?
The tests are available throughout the world, in locations specified by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). See the initial list of dates and locations here. More dates and locations will be added on 20 April 2015 (UK time).

Important note for Tier 4 Student Visa
This recent visa change does not apply to Tier 4 student visa. Those who are applying for a Tier 4 student visa to a Highly Trusted Sponsor (HTS) to study a bachelor or postgraduate degree are required to meet the English language level set by the institution. All British universities and colleges accept IELTS results. This means that you do not need to take the IELTS test under UKVI specified condition, unless your institution has required you to.

بند 116 :Students studying at degree level and above (NQF 6/QCF 6/SCQF 9 or above)
.If your sponsor is an HEI, we will allow them to choose how to assess your English language ability. If you are a ‘gifted’ student, they may not have to do this. Your sponsor must, however, ensure that you are proficient to level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) in each of the four components (speaking, listening, reading and writing), unless you are exempt from being proficient in a component because of a disability. If your Tier 4 Sponsor considers you are a gifted student, they will explain this on your CAS. Your Tier 4 sponsor will also give you a letter confirming that the Academic Registrar has approved the waiving of the English language requirement. If you are applying from overseas, you should ensure that you have the letter with you when you enter the UK.
یعنی اگر از دانشگاهی پذیرش بگیرید که HEI باشه، اداره مهاجرت بریتانیا برای صدور ویزا از شما مدرک زبان نمی خواد فقط کافیه که دانشگاه( یا همون اسپانسرتون) CAS شما رو صادر کنه و یه نامه بده بهتون که تایید کنه مهارت زبان شما ویو می شه. البته این برعهده دانشگاه گذاشته شده که چطور مهارت زبان شما رو بسنجه، ممکنه دانشگاه ازتون بخواد که تو یکی از تست سنترهای approve شده امتحان بدید. مثلا من الان یه سرچی زدم دانشگاه کویین مری نوشته هرجائی امتحان بدید قبوله ولی دانشگاه شفیلد نوشته باید تست سنترتون approve شده باشه. البته چند تا استثنا هم داره مثلا دانشجوهای رشته زبان انگلیسی حتما باید تو تست سنتر های جدید امتحان بدن.
قضیه اینجاست که یه بخش هایی از سایت gov.uk هنوز آپدیت نشده و همه رو سر در گم کرده، همین دانشگاه شفیلد هم فکر می کنم اشتباه برداشت کرده چون دقیقا همون متن اداره مهاجرت رو کپی کرده و احتمالا روزهای آینده تصحیح کنه.

یعنی کسانی که برای دوره های زبان، فنی حرفه ای و یا دوره های تحصیلی منجر به مدرک تحصیلی در کالجها اقدام میکنند برای ویزای دانشجویی اقدام نمیکنند!!! همه برای یک نوع ویزا که همون Tier 4 هست اقدام میکنند ولی شرایط و مدارکی که باید ارایه کنند بسته به سطح دوره و موسسه آموزشی فرق میکنه.

On the 6th April 2015 the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Secure English Language Test (SELT) list changed.
What does this mean if you're applying for a course below degree level (e.g. Pre-Sessional English)?
If you are applying to join a Pre-Sessional English course at Coventry University or a course below degree level at our partner institution, ONCampus, you will have to obtain a SELT from the following test centres:
- IELTS SELT Consortia (for applicants applying for their visa outside or inside the UK)
You will need to take the test named 'IELTS for UKVI purposes'- Trinity College London (for applicants applying for their visa in the UK only)
What does this mean if you're applying for a course at degree level or above?
There is no change to Coventry University's English entry criteria or application process.
We will accept the SELTs approved by the UKVI.
In addition to this, we will also accept tests that have been approved as being equivalent to the test approved by UKVI. These tests are deemed as being 'Higher Education Institution (HEI) assessed'. Download the full list of HEI tests here.

آیلتس رو پارسال گرفتم و خوب ایشالا واسه شهریور دارم اقدام میکنم که مشکلی نیست برام ولی این موضوع رو گذاشتم چون مهم بود
