    Processing Completed EO
We are pleased to inform you that the administrative processing for your case is completed. We are ready to
process your case to conclusion. This email has the most current information on your case.
Notice for DV applicants: As of June 29, 2017, U.S. Embassy Ankara has begun implementing Executive Order
13780 in compliance with the United States Supreme Court order dated June 26, 2017 and in accordance with the
Presidential Memorandum issued on June 14, 2017.
The Executive Order prohibits the issuance of U.S. visas to nationals of Iran, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and
Yemen. However, the Supreme Court’s order specified that the suspension of entry provisions in section 2© of
Executive Order 13780 may not be enforced against foreign nationals who have a credible claim of a familial
relationship with a person or a formal, documented relationship with an entity in the United States. Accordingly,
Diversity visa applicants must demonstrate a qualifying relationship with a person or entity in the U.S.
At this point, your administrative processing is completed. If you have relationship with a person or entity in the
U.S that would qualify you for the Diversity Visa, you are welcome to send us your passport along with that
    evidence.
A close familial relationship is defined as a parent (including parent-in-law), spouse, fiancé, child, adult son or
daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sibling, whether whole or half, and including step relationships. “Close
family” also includes grandparents, grandchildren, step-siblings, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
For “Following-to-Join” DV applicants, you may submit a copy of the principal applicant’s admission stamp to
the U.S. as evidence of a qualifying relationship.
For more information about the Executive Order and how to qualify for the exemption, please visit
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/news/important-announcement.html.
If you do not have a qualifying relationship with a person or entity in the U.S. please inform us so that we can take
    action accordingly.
IMPORTANT: Please note that derivative applicants cannot be issued a visa before their principal applicants'
    administrative processing is complete.
Immigrant Visa applicants can only submit missing documents and passports to the U.S. Embassy Ankara
Consular Section by mail. Applicants may use the PTT courier services free of charge for this purpose. To
register for the PTT services please click on ais.usvisa-info.com. At this web site, please click on the
“Consular Section instructed me to send more documents” option. From there, please print out a “Courier in
receipt” to send your documents to our office through PTT free of charge.
All applicants should send us their passports and required documents via the Turkish postal service (PTT).

Applicants whose status is marked "Processing Completed" or "Ready" are encouraged to send in their documents
to the Embassy at least two weeks prior to their processing expiration date. Applicants with "Processing Pending" or
other statuses should not send in their passports and should not come to the Embassy. Applicants whose case
processing is pending may check their status at the "Status Check" link below.
    https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/iv-status-check/
After your documents are received, a consular officer will review your case to ensure each applicant meets
eligibility and admissibility criteria. If everything is in order, your visa packet will be prepared and sent to the PTT
office which you chose. If additional work is needed for your case, your passport(s) will be returned to the PTT
office with an explanation. In most cases, you will receive a decision five work days after your submission.
Applicants who were under 14 years of age at the time of interview, who reach their fourteenth birthday while their
parent's case was undergoing administrative processing must return to the Embassy to provide fingerprints.
Prior to sending your documents to the Embassy, each applicant should do the following:
    1. Print out one copy of this email.
    2. Send a valid passport. Each visa applicant needs to have a passport valid for six months beyond the intended
date of entry into the United States.
    3. Register with PTT. Each family member applying for a visa needs to register their pickup location individually
with the Turkish postal service (PTT), and to provide a copy of their registration to the Embassy. This registration
must be completed every time applicants bring passports and documents to the Immigrant Visa Unit. To register,
please click on the Courier Info link or call +90 850 390 2884 from Turkey or (703) 520-2490 from the United
    States.
    4. Confirm medical clearance validity. Immigration/refugee medical examinations are valid for 6 months or less.
The validity of your immigrant visa will be limited to match the validity of your medical clearance. If your medical
report has expired, or will expire before you intend to arrive in the United States, you are required to renew your
medical examination and to submit an updated medical report to our office. Please do not send us a copy of your
    x-ray results.
    5. Check Visa Bulletin. Before sending passports or coming to the Embassy, applicants for family-preference
immigrant visas (ex. F1, F2, F3, F4) should check the current month's visa bulletin for their visa class and foreign
state of chargeability. Visa numbers are available only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the cut-off
    date listed in the bulletin.
    6. Send any other documents that were requested by a consular officer.
If the passport information you have provided on your DS-260 form changes at any stage of the process after
your interview, you must inform us immediately via email at https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/contactimmigrant-
visa-section/. This is necessary to avoid possible delays in your visa process.
