You will find herewith, offers for PhD candidates or post-docs with
research assistantships in the field of power electrical engineering
and more exactly in (deadline for applications is April 30, 2017):
- electrical machines and drives (design, control, condition monitoring)
- distribution power network (energy efficiency, rational usage of
electricity, monitoring)
- renewable energy for electricity generation (wind, hydro)

Overseas students or young professionals are more than welcome at the
condition to have an already completed MSc (for PhD candidates) or a
PhD at date (for post-docs) from a well reputed institution.
Experiences in research with publications in journals AND experimental
skills are also mandatory. All pre-selected candidates (with full
applications with all requested documents) will be interviewed and
classified. Both interviews and applications will be held in English
(which will be also the language of communication in our lab). Grants
will be from one to three years. Letters of recommendation (minimum 2)
coming from advisors are mandatory for PhD candidates and post-docs.

Moreover, invited positions for assistant and associate Professors
will be opened for next academic years (for tenure, the procedure of
qualification from a National Committee will be mandatory). For these
positions, the basic knowledge of French is mandatory since the
selected candidates will have to teach in front of BSc and MSc students.
For the academic year (2017-2018), ONE Assistant Professor under one
year contract (tenure could be considered after this period) will be
hired with the following profile (deadline for applications is April
30, 2017):
Teaching labs and exercises on analog electronics, electromechanical
energy conversion, power electronics, transportation electrification
and electrical traction mainly at the BSc level.
Research in the LTI lab of the University of Picardie in the power
group (EESA) on the previous topics and more specifically on condition
monitoring and fault detection in power electrical engineering and
fault-tolerant control for electrical machines and drives.

For the academic year 2018-2019, ONE Associate Professor (6-12 years
experience) under one month contract will be invited. The aim is to be
familiar with both teaching and research of our Department of
Electrical Engineering (power group). If successful, the candidate
could be considered in the future for the substitution of Professor
Gerard-Andre Capolino after his retirement. The following profile is
expected (deadline for applications is November 30, 2017):
Teaching courses on electrical machines and drives mainly at the MSc
level: design, control and condition monitoring
Research in the LTI lab of the University of Picardie in the power
group (EESA) on the previous topics and more specifically on condition
monitoring and fault detection in power electrical engineering and
fault-tolerant control for electrical machines and drives.
