Loyola Andalucía University is seeking three post-doctoral positions

- Two Postdoc positions in Modelling anda Analysis of Power Systems:

The position requires an engineer with postdoc experience and a strong research record in power systems, focusing in operation, analysis and control of modern power systems, and with interest in cross-disciplinary. Knowledge on the Greek and/or Cypriot power system, as well as collaboration with corresponding TSO will be highly valued. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in modelling, simulation and control of modern power systems, integration of power plants based on renewable energies, residential district distribution networks, energy storage systems and FACTs. Proficiency in using simulation tools, such as DigSILENT, PSS/E, … is a crucial requirement.

Candidates should have experience in coordinating research groups and collaboration with other research teams specialized in this field. The selected candidate will work in close cooperation with other teams specialized on distributed control, HIL and computational intelligence. Moreover, he/she will also supervise some PhD students working on this topic.

- One Postdoc in Rt-Hil Modelling and Simulation:

The position requires an engineer with postdoc experience and specialized in modelling and simulating modern power systems in real-time simulation platforms (Opal-RT, RTDS,…). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in integrating HIL-RT simulation models with control systems based on communication networks (real-time modelling, HIL, communication interfaces design communication protocols, such as IEC 61850,…). Knowledge on power systems simulation tools (DigSilent, PSSS/E, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP,…), generic simulation platforms (Matlab, Modelica, Homer,…) and programming languages (C variations, Python, Fortran,…) will be highly valued.

Candidates should have experience in coordinating research groups and collaboration with other research teams specialized in this field. The selected candidate will work in close contact with BESS manufacturers and control systems providers, as well as with TSO/DSO. Moreover, he/she will also supervise some PhD students working on this topic.
