RA Position in Wireless Communications at University of Louisville

One Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. The position starts 2018 Spring or Fall semester. We are looking for self-motivated and diligent students who seek to pursue a Ph.D. degree specializing in wireless communications and networking. The ideal candidate is expected to conduct research on advanced wireless technologies and innovative wireless applications, from theoretical exploration to system implementations. Research areas include, but are not limited to:
- Next-generation Wi-Fi and 5G communications
- Vehicular wireless networks
- Wireless network privacy and security
- Innovative wireless applications (e.g., localization, tracking and detection)


Students with background in wireless communications, signal processing, computer networking, or algorithm design are encouraged to contact Dr. Huacheng Zeng via e-mail: huacheng.zeng@louisville.edu. Hands-on experience with wireless systems (e.g., GNU Radio and USRP) is a big plus but not required.

The selected candidates will receive full scholarship, including tuition coverage, living expense
(~$24,000 per year, tax-exempt for the first two years), and fringe benefits.
