PhD Student in data analytics for IoT





Description:


The position focuses on data analytics for IoT including radio spectrum analytics, network data analytics and analytics for smart grids. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an international environment through the European collaborative projects. The responsibilities of the positions are:


- Carry out world class original scientific research


- Write scientific papers to top journals and conferences


- Contribute to the project activities (research, scientific dissemination, reporting, etc.)

Required qualifications and selection criteria:


The applicant must hold a BSc/MSc degree or equivalent in related field (computer science, electrical engineering, physics or mathematics). For this position, it is required to have analytic thinking, good knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Matlab, Javascript, C++, etc.) and good written and oral command of English language. Any prior experience with data analytics, data and signal processing, code development, communication networks or/and embedded systems is a plus.





Employment: The contract will cover up to 4 years full-time employment with yearly extension subject to successful progress in PhD study.

Salary: Standard academic salary for the rank of research assistant (approx. 19.2k€ per annum gross) with possibility for additional bonus for good performance and covered tuition fees
