Applications are invited for a PhD scholarship in physical layer security for sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks. The scholarship is jointly funded by PUC-Rio and ENSEA and the successful candidate will spend 50% of the thesis at each partner. The focus of the study will be in the area of physical-layer security for 6G wireless networks. Potential topics include but are not limited to:
- High-precision localization, trust and trustworthiness, resilience and privacy in 6G.
- Authentication and secret-key generation at PHY aided by machine learning and statistical signal processing.
- Context awareness enabled physical layer security for 6G.

This is an exciting international opportunity for a candidate with (or expecting) an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related areas who wishes to pursue a PhD programme and obtain a double doctoral degree. The requisite for the application is to have very good grades (GPA > 70%), dedication and passion for research. A good knowledge of English is also required. The successful candidate will equally split her/his time between PUC-Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and ENSEA in Greater Paris, France. The successful candidate will attend international conferences and collaborate extensively with international and industrial partners.
