Conference Format
The two-day conference will include a plenary session, panel discussion, technical sessions and poster sessions. Authors are expected to orally present their papers in a technical session or poster session.
Conference Topics
The conference topics will include the following subjects dealing with water resources management:
1. Coupled management of land and water resources
- Water resources assessment in a changing environment
- Landscape functionality and conservation management
- Ecosystem needs and safeguarding aquatic biodiversity
- Water quality and ecosystem services for human health
2. Implementation of IWRM- Environmental technologies to increase water use efficiencies
- Pathways for sustainable sanitation
- Environmentally sound technologies for wastewater and storm water management
- Economic instruments: water prices for efficiency and equity
3. IWRM processes: indicators and advanced monitoring
- Adapted water resources assessment strategies

Language
The official language of the conference will be English.
Venue
The venue will be at Maritim Hotel & International Congress Center Dresden, Germany. There will be accommodation available at the Maritim Hotel as well as in the City of Dresden. Lunches and refreshments will be provided at the conference. There are excellent facilities for parallel sessions, exhibitions and welcomereception at the venue.
Excursions
The conference will organise post-conference excursions if sufficient interest is indicated after the announcement of the conference. The excursions will take place on October 14.
International Steering Committee

Publications
All the papers received will be reviewed and the selected papers will be published in an international journal. Once the abstract has been accepted by the steering committee, the prospective authors have the option to submit a full paper version for publication in IWA journal Water Science & Technology.
