Work
Duties include research, own studies as well as teaching, mainly in wireless communications. The emphasis of this project is on the design of compact multiple antenna systems for future high speed wireless networks. The work involves: (i) obtaining the performance limitations of specific new technique(s) for improving such antenna systems, and (ii) designing and implementing a technology demonstrator that takes into account tradeoffs in real systems. Good command of English is a requirement and relevant background in the area (wireless systems, antenna technology, RF circuits, channel modeling, wave propagation and multiple antenna systems) is considered an additional qualification.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. electrical engineering, wireless communication, radio systems or digital communication).

Eligibility
Employment as a Doctoral student can only be granted if you have been accepted to the postgraduate student program. Acceptance to the postgraduate student program is based on the estimated ability to perform well in your postgraduate studies. This is also one of the basic criteria for employment. Furthermore you need a valid university degree within a relevant study program.
As a Doctoral student you will mainly be working with you research project, but you can also be given more general tasks within the department i.e. teaching, research and administrative work, in accordance with the regulations. Rules for employment as a Doctoral student is stated in "The Higher Education Ordnance (SFS 1998:80), Chapter 5".
