PhDs in Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design/
PhDs in Signal Processing Circuits and Systems
to take part in circuit design projects for telecommunication applications. The candidates should have a university degree in Electrical Engineering.

The Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Group and the Signal Processing Circuits and Systems Group of the Integrated Systems Laboratory are currently involved in various research projects with industrial collaboration in the area of advanced circuit design for communications. For recent projects the Groups have openings in the area of analog and mixed-signal IC design with focus on transceiver applications as well as in the area of algorithm development and digital circuit design for baseband signal processing in wireless communicaton systems. The project tasks involve system level studies as well as the complete process of integrated circuit development: from conception, simulation, layout and verification to testing using up-to-date software tools and measurement equipment. We offer the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. degree within the project work.
The positions require broad skills/interest in telecommunications, analog and/or digital signal processing and microelectronics.
You will enjoy the collaboration with Swiss industry, the environment of a highly motivated and successful circuit design team and a salary according to the standard of ETH Zurich.

Please hand in a complete application, including detailed curriculum vitae, university grades, transcript and description of your master thesis work, together with your research interests. For further inquiries contact Dr. Thomas Burger, (burger@iis.ee.ethz.ch
