Take advantage of a unique opportunity to pursue doctoral research in two of the leading West Midlands-based Business Schools. Located in England's second city, both Aston and Birmingham are two of the leading Business Schools in the UK and renowned internationally.
Two Joint Studentships are on offer at Aston and Birmingham Business Schools for outstanding applicants who want to pursue full-time doctoral research in Development, Energy and Sustainability.
Valued at current ESRC rates, the studentships will cover tuition fees and maintenance for a maximum of three years and are open to home/EU and overseas students. Successful overseas students will be required to pay the difference in home/EU and overseas tuition fees. Applicants must possess a minimum of a good first degree (second class upper) in a relevant discipline, an inquiring mind, and a strong grounding in research methods.
To be considered for a studentship, applicants must submit a detailed research proposal, current CV, a completed application form (downloadable from the websites of ABS and BBS), and two letters of reference. For applicants from non-English speaking countries, a TOEFL score of 610 (computer 250) or IELTS score of 7 is required.
One of the successful applicants will be based in ABS while the other one will be in BBS but both students will be supervised by academics from both Business Schools.
