I'll be happy to look over your application if you are interested in
coming here. I'm not very familiar with Iran's education system but I
know some of the scientists there are doing high-quality research, and
I understand that Tehran University is one of the top institutions in
the Middle East. I looked over your resume; it appears that you have a
strong background in geophysics So far as I can tell you would do fine in the PhD
program here, but please take note that I can't make any formal
commitments or funding offers until I've seen a completed application
to our graduate school (including your GRE and TOEFL scores as well as
recommendation letters).
Having said that, I would not accept you to the program here without
offering full funding. PhD student tuition at our institution is paid
by the University, and living expenses are provided by TA or RA funds.
Important questions for you to consider as you decide where to pursue
a PhD include "What do you want to learn?", and "What do you want to
