اول از همه بزارید منم یه تبریک بگم

والا مجید جان تنها چیزی که من میدونم در حد 2تا ایمیلیه (که مشخصه تمپلیته) که بصورت مجزا توو تاریخهای 16 نوامبر و 4 دسامبر واسه من اومده و هردوتاشم کپی هم بودند!! با این مضمون:

علی جان شما مزایای بورسendeavour رو می دونی؟ من زمانی برای این بورس اقدام کردم که کوئنزلند، سیدنی، آدلاید، موناش پذیرش داشتم. می دونم هزینه بلیط رو می ده ولی living allowance چقدر می ده که اگر اومد می ارزه به جای IPRS انتخاب کردن یا خیر.

مرسی عزیز.موضوع پروژه ها تقریبا یکیه ولی پروژه موناش خیلی به نظر من به نتایج و مقالات بهتری ختم می شه. استاده چیینه ولی آدم مهربونیه که خودت هم می شناسیش. برای کار پاره وقت حین تحصیل هم ملبورن بهتره(مثلا اگر شد TAیا اگر نشد فروشندگی و حسابداری و... بیرون)؟

این اختلاف رنک (حدود 20 رنک جهانی در مهندسی شیمی، کوئنزلند 16 و موناش 40) در پیدا کردن کار آکادمیک تاثیر گذار نیست؟ من بسیار علاقه مند هستم که بعدا توی یکی از دانشگاههای سطح بالای استرالیا پوزیشن پیدا کنم و اینو به کار بیرون ترجیح می دم. جواب قطعی موناش سه شنبه میاد موندم چی جواب استادم رو بدم D: هر دو استاد آدمهای خیلی خوبی هستند ولی استاد موناش خیلی پیگیر کارهام بود و هست.

گفتی ملبورن خیلی متفاوت با کوئنزلنده. می شه بگی از جه لحاظ غیر اب و هوا و مسئله خارجی بودن؟ البته منتظر بورس endeavour هم هستم. آدلاید هم که والله چی بگم! d:

Today I received an email from the head of Mech Eng Dept at the Uni Melb and there was an attachment which can be helpful for evaluation of your university power in research in each discipline

The following is the above-mentioned email




Dear Colleagues,



In the Federal Government’s recently published ARC ERA 2012 report, Engineering (09) and Information and Computing Sciences (08) as well as Technology (10) at The University of Melbourne were rated at a 5, well above world standard. This was the only university to receive a 5 for all these categories.



At the four digit level, the disciplines of Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne were also rated at a 5, the highest in the School.



All publications were counted over the years 2005-2010 and citations and research income from 2008-2010.



This is a truly excellent result and we will celebrate it at the Department Christmas function.



Best wishes and many congratulations on the stellar performance.



We need to keep it up as there will be another ERA in 2015.

This process has now put your application in a strong position within the Faculty list. However, the Faculty rankings now need to be ratified by MIGR before they can be released at the end of next week. This process will take place at MIGR at a meeting on either Tuesday or Wendesday next week. After this process is complete, we will be told of the successful applications at the same time you will hear from MIGR.

Considering that the Faculty of Engineering received a total 419 application for this scholarship round, you should feel very proud that your application has progressed this far.

بسیار عالی بود. ممنونم. توی این لینک صفحه 317 که مربوط به مهندسی هست اشاره شده که در فیلد شما مهندسی مکانیک ملبورن و UNSW بهترین دانشگاهها هستند. در فیلد ما مهندسی شیمی هم موناش و کوئنزلند بهترین دانشگاه استرالیا هستند. یک مقدار با رنکینگ دیگه تفاوت داره که البته این رنکینگی شما زحمت کشیدید برای پوزیشن آکادمیک داخل استرالیا به نظرم معتبر تره.

شهروز جان فکر میکنم منظور استادت این بوده که توی همون روزی که نتایج برای دانشجوها میاد (14 دسامبر) ایشون هم از نتایج مطلع میشه.

خوشحال میشم اگه کسی تجربه ی داره که کدوم بهتره از این دوتا چون راجع به استرالیا زیاد نمی دونم!
