The Master of Science in industrial engineering (MSIE) degree program offers tracks in all of the three areas described above. Students can complete the degree requirement through any of the following options: thesis, directed project, or all coursework.
Admission requirements

In order to be admitted in the MSIE program, applicants must:

1. Possess an undergraduate degree in engineering, science business, or other related discipline;
2. Have satisfactorily completed: math344, calculus III; IME 255, Engineering Economy; a natural sciences course equivalent to that of the undergraduate engineering requirement;
3. Have programming competence in C, C++, Visual Basic, or Fortran;
4. Have a minimum GPA of 3.000, on a 4.000 scale, in the last 60 hours of undergraduate courses and in all graduate courses( student with lower GPA may be considered only for probationary or non- degree admission); and
5. Indicate one of the following as a concentration area: engineering systems, ergonomics/human factors, or manufacturing systems engineering.

In addition,

1. Students with English as a second language must have a minimum score of 79 on the Internet-based, or a 550 or higher on the paper-based TOEFL, or a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. Students who have attended a US university for one year in academic-only coursework, and who have achieved a 3.00 or higher GPA may have the English proficiency requirement waived. This will be determined at the point of application by the Graduate School office. Students requesting financial assistance are encouraged to submit a score of 23 or higher on the speaking portion of the Internet-based TOEFL, or a 50 or higher on the SPEAK test; and
2. students with an undergraduate degree from a program not accredited by ABET are encouraged to submit GRE scores.

Degree Requirements

1. Core courses (13 Credit hours): IME 549, Industrial Ergonomics; IME 550, Operations Research; IME 553, Production Systems; IME 724, Statistical Methods for Engineers; and CESP 750D, Engineering Research Writing;
2. Major area (concentration) courses: at least 9 hours from a selected list of area courses;
3. Technical electives: from an approved list of courses (no more than 6 hours from another department);
4. Up to 12 hours may be transferred from another accredited graduate school;
5. An approved Plan of Study
6. A 3.000 overall Graduate GPA and a 3.000 GPA in all courses on the Plan of Study
7. At least 60% of hours in a plan of study must be at 700 or higher level
8. A student must select both a Concentration ( Engineering Systems, Ergonomics, or Manufacturing Systems) and an Option (All Course, Directed Project or Thesis)

Options:
Thesis Option—a minimum of 24 hours of coursework (consisting of core courses, major area courses, and technical electives) plus 6 hours of thesis,
Directed Project Option—a minimum of 30 hours of coursework (consisting of core courses, major area courses, and technical electives) plus 3 hours of directed project,
All Coursework Option—a minimum of 33 hours of coursework (consisting of core courses, major area courses, and technical electives) plus completing a terminal activity, such as one hour of IME 874-Graduate seminar, or receiving an external certification.
Details of the 33 Credit Hour All Course MSIE Option
- 33 credit hours of approved course work (including core courses) and a terminal activity. After the terminal activity is completed, a terminal activity form needs to be submitted.
- Terminal activity for the all-course option can be satisfied by either:

1. Passing IME 874 (1 Credit Hour – Graduate Seminar) - The seminar consists of doing a mini-project such as literature review with a minimum of 5 single-spaced pages and must be performed in consultation with the faculty advisor. The scope of the seminar will be determined in collaboration with the faculty advisor. The oral presentation for the seminar shall be done in front of two members of IME faculty and the faculty advisor.
2. Receiving an external certification. the certificate has to be validated by the graduate coordinator.

The certification can be any one of the following:

• One of the following ASQ Certification
  
  • Certified Quality Engineer - CQE
  • Reliability Engineer - CRE
  • Six Sigma Black Belt - CSSBB
  • Six Sigma Green Belt - CSSGB
  • Software Quality Engineer - CSQE
  
  
• One of the following modules or certification from APICS
  
  • One module from the Certified Production & Inventory Management
    
    • Basics of Supply Chain Management
    • Master Planning of Resources
    • Detailed Scheduling and Planning
    • Execution and Control of Operations
    • Strategic Management of Resources

نه درسته! من حتی اواخر may اپلای کردم و حدود یک ماه بعد بهم جواب دادن. البته graduate coordinator قبل از ددلاین به من گفته بودهر چه زودتر اپلای کن و من هم چون مردد بودم خیلی دیرتر تصمیم گرفتم( البته به ایشون ایمیل زدم که دارم اپلای میکنم) ولی با این وجود قبول شدم به هر حال فکر کنم اگه بخوان قبول کنن زیاد مهم نیست کی پرونده ات رو تکمیل کنی ولی فکر میکنم همون اول April ددلاینش هست.

No . They do not offer that much funding to international student. They change the university law regarding the international student.
They only offer jobs to USA Citizen. If you have an offer from other universities please go there then.

سلام دوستان
من پیشنهاد RA از یکی از استادهای مکانیک WSU دارم و یک فاند پارشیال هم از دانشگاه کلارکسون دارم . نمیدونم برای WSU اقدام کنم یا نه ،خیلی نگران ویزا هستم چون این دانشگاه کلا تو کار هوافضا و نظامیه. به نظرتون کلارکسون رو برم یا همین دانشگاه رو؟
ممنون میشم سریعتر جواب بدین.

دوستان من از این دانشگاه واسه مستر مکانیک پذیرش گرفتم و لی بدون فاند!!! ایمیل زدم که بدون فاند نمیتونم بیام رییس دپارتمان این جواب رو دادن، کسی ایده ای نداره؟
Congratulations on your admission.

However, it is not possible to assure any teaching/research assistantships at this time, as the President’s office will let the department know only in August how many assistantships may be offered. Besides, the students who get assistantships need to fill satisfy several legal and security formalities – per US homeland security guidelines. These are now standard procedures followed by most universities across the U.S.

I would like to inform – based on recent past department experience – that most MS students get some sort of assistantships on joining the program, which requires face-to-face meeting with the faculty and chair and the spoken English Test.

این که خوبه، میگه وقتی بیای اینجا و با استادها رو در رو صحبت کنی بسته به سطح زبانت (سپیکینگ) میتونی مقداری فاند بگیری، ضمنا این ایالت خیلی ارزونه، فکر کنم نهایتا تو یه سال 20000 دلار کافی باشه برات، شاید یه فاندی هم دادن و فقط مقداری جزئی خرجت بشه و ... اینکه تو آمریکا ارشد بگیری فکر خوبیه چون برای دکتری میری بهترین دانشگاه
