بحه ها من از gatech پذیرش full fund گرفتم در کامپیوتر. اما شنیدم که این دانشگاه چندی پروژه نظامی داره و به ایرانی ها خوب ویزا نمی دم. البته استاد من برای IBM و toshiba کار می کنه و پروژه هاش نظامی نیستند. نظر شما چیه؟
من از کانادا هم پذیرش دارم، آیا باید اون رو هم نگه دارم برای احتیاط؟
دانشگاه کانادا برای Accept admission offer از من 100$ هم می خواد. به نظرتون چقدر می تونم به گرفتن ویزای آمریکا امیدوار باشم؟

من اگه جای شما بودم پذیرش کانادا رو حتماً ok می کردم چون بالاخره ویزای آمریکا مقداری ریسک داره.

don't lose the canadian offers, cuz you can never be sure about the US visa!!!

I have the same problem.I have full-fund admission from G Tech (Mechanical Eng), but I've heard that in the recent years, students from G Tech have experienced some difficulties obtaining visa on time. any body has any experience????

ضمنا راجع به ویزا، من تابستون پارسال با یه دعوتنامه از G Techتونستم ویزا(البته توریستی) بگیرم، ولی خب خیلی خیلی شانسی بود، امیدوارم که در هر صورت موفق باشی

Congradulations for your admittance!
The graduate office of CS informed me that they cant send the offer letter by Federal experess or DHL or even TNT!!!!
I told them that many of my friends received their addmission offers by these posting offices but she insisted that she queried and they can not deliver to Iran.
So at last she scanned the offer letter and emailed it to me and I filled the acceptance form and faxed it to her.
. Then she wanted a mailing address outside of iran to be able sending my I-20.
I guess the problem may occur for you and any other iranians as well, so the best way is to contact them and ask them to email or fax the offer for you. It will be better both in cost and time for the two sides.

It's weird saeede,
cuz I talked to my prof at G Tech just today and she told me that G Tech mainly posts all its stuff with FedEx!!!
she also stated taht they have the option of sending it by DHL!!!
I don't know,maybe it's something departmental (i am Mech)!
did you call them and try to reason with them on the phone?

No I didnt call them, but your professor is right, they first tried Fedex and you may know that Fedex would not send packages to Iran, but as I know DHL would, however they told me that DHL has a problem with sending admission offers as well, so I told them to try TNT and Globex, but the response was the same as before, so I didnt insist on that and gave them a mailing address of a friend in Canada.
but Im sure they can send the offer by fax and email as well, so it would be faster if they do that so that you can accept the offer and they deliver your I-20.
Are you going to accept their offer or you want to wait for other probable admissions?
How much is your fund?
Mine has a tuition waiver+ 1600$ a month. I asked some friends there and they admitted that its pretty enough.
