Thank you for your interest in the Ph.D. program in the UMBC Department of Physics. Unfortunately, U.S. government sanctions restrict access of Iranian citizens to certain research areas. Because some of the research in our department falls under those restrictions, and graduate students have access to the laboratories where that research is taking place, our department is not currently accepting students with Iranian citizenship.
