این دانشگاه Screening Criteria خاص خودشو داره و یه خورده با بقیه دانشگاهها فرق داره:
برای GRE مینیمم برای تک تک قسمت ها گذاشتن:
وربال بالای 350
کوان بالای 750
رایتینگ بالای 3.5
معدل هم 3 از 4

میخوان، خوب هم میخوان،یعنی GRE باید بالا باشه تازه ترم اولم کسی رو ساپورت مالی نمیکنن!

ترم اول فاند نمیدن. از ترم دوم هم عموما فاند تی ای میدن.

این دانشگاه متاسفانه برای برق رنکینگ نداره !
متوجه نمیشم ! جزو گروه اول وزارت علوم هست ولی اصلا برقش رنک بندی نشده

سیاست این دانشگاه فرق میکنه. یکی از بچه ها ما پارسال از این دانشگاه گرفت. ترم اول با فاند خودش، ترم دوم 43000 تا تی ای شد. اونم گفت ایمیل زدن به استادا زیاد تاثیر نداره!

عزیزم سالی دو نفر نفت از ایران میگیره. من امارشو دارم. به تک تک استاداش ایمیل زدم. این جوابو یکی از استاداش به منم داد. عموما ترم اول فاند به کسی نمیدن مگر در شرایط خاص!

اینم ایمیل کوردینیتر که استاده ایمیلشو سی سی کرده بود و جواب رو فرستاد:

You recently wrote asking to study your PhD under the guidance of Dr. XXX. In order for a prospective student to work with any professor they must be accepted into the Petroleum Engineering graduate program. The Petroleum Engineering Graduate Application Review Committee reviews all application and if you have been admitted into the program your application will then go to the professor you have requested to have them decide on your request. If you have access to this website http://www.mines.edu/graduate_admissions you can learn quite a bit about our department and the application process. We are not able to advise you on admission into the graduate program unless we have all the proper paperwork to review.

We receive inquiries from a wide variety of people. Some inquiries come from people with a weak background in petroleum engineering and for these people, if their undergraduate record (geophysics, chemistry, math, chemical or mechanical engineering) is satisfactory, and if their GRE scores and the TOEFL scores (for international applicants) are satisfactory, graduate applications will be reviewed. Minimum scores required for applications to be reviewed are: GRE scores are 300 verbal, 750 quantitative (PhD), and 3.5 analytical; Minimum scores for TOEFL are 80 out of 120 with no category being below 18; GPA must be 3.0 or above.

Provisionally admitted students will be required to take undergraduate coursework to complete any deficiencies and demonstrate their ability before being fully admitted to the graduate program. The deficiencies may include five to ten undergraduate courses in petroleum engineering.

We do not make commitments to funding first semester graduate students. And, we do not have sufficient funds to support all students who apply to our program, even if they have a strong background in petroleum engineering. I regret that no financial assistance is available to you at the start of your graduate program. After you arrive and demonstrate your abilities there could be a consideration of financial assistance.

The cost for filing an application to our graduate program is $70. We hope that the above answers will help you in making the decision to apply.

پست شماره 2 رو اصلاح میکنم. دیشب نوشته بودم مینیمم وربال 350 ولی مینیممش 300 ه
