از دوستان عزیز خواهشمندم اگه کسی در مورد این دانشگاه و میزان بورس آن اطلاعاتی دارد بفرماید؟
آیا کسیو می شناسید از این دانشگاه بورس گرفته باشه؟

امروز دانشگاه فلوریدا به خواهرم این جواب رو داد که
At the departmental level, there are two major requirements for admission (1) meeting the approval of our Graduate Admissions Committee, and (2) identifying a faculty member willing to accept and financially support you within his/her research program.
During the first stage, the Admission's Committee reviews your application materials for completeness and evaluates the acceptability of your credentials. In addition to meeting minimum requirements set by the University's Graduate Admissions office, application materials must meet higher and more specific departmental standards. Factors that are critically evaluated by the department include past academic record in terms of course content and performance, your statement of specific research interests and career goals, letters of recommendation, and GRE scores. Approval at this stage is essential but not the final step in admitting a student into our graduate program.
The second critical step is to identify a faculty member who is mutually interested in accepting a student and who has the financial resources to do so. These financial resources may come from a Departmental Assistantship, grants obtained by individual faculty members, or, in rare circumstances, be provided by the applicant. The graduate coordinator initiates this process by circulating a synopsis of your academic background and interests to all Plant Pathology faculty at the Gainesville campus and the state-wide Research and Education Centers. Interested faculty are then able to review your full application. This scenario is not always successful in identifying a suitable match between applicants and faculty. This is the point where the applicant can play an active role in gaining admission. If you have not already done so, you should review the research programs of faculty in our department.
With this letter, I can tell you that your application has successfully completed the stage of approval by the Admission's Committee and your credentials have been circulated to the faculty. To date we have not received a commitment for support from any of the faculty. This situation often leads to the to denial of many excellent students. However, you can play an active role in seeing that this is not the case with your application by defining your goals and interests and actively seeking a faculty mentor for your program as outlined above. We will keep your application active for one month from the date of this letter. After that time, if a commitment has not been established then we regrettably will need to cancel your admission into our graduate program. If you are no longer interested in our program or if you have already been accepted elsewhere please let me know.

به نظر من ایمیل همزمان به تمام استادها زدن کار اشتباهیه. منطقی نیست که یک نفر به کار تمام استادهای یک دانشکده علاقه داشته باشه و اگر کسی چنین ادعایی بکنه، شما می‌تونید با اطمینان زیادی بگید که طرف راست نمی‌گه. در گرفتن پذیرش هم معمولا این موضوع می‌تونه اثر منفی داشته باشه. به نظر من خواهر شما به استادهایی که به کارشون علاقه داره ایمیل بزنه و بگه که پذیرش گرفته و ببینه که می‌تونند ساپورتش کنند یا خیر. به نظر من ایشون شانس داره که فاند پیدا کنه، اما فراموش نکنید که بیان این که پذیرش گرفتید در ایمیل مساله مهمی هست. حتما به این موضوع اشاره کنید.

من متوجه نشدم از پست party1. من الان واسه مستر پذیرش گرفتم ولی فاند رو هنوز بررسی نکردند، یعنی اگه فاند نتونم بگیرم ادمیشن منم کنسل میشه؟!!!

آیا کسی راجع به اعتبار این دانشگاه اطلاعاتی داره؟ کسی هست که بدونه با درس خوندن تو مقطع دکترا تو این دانشگاه میشه تو آمریکا کار پیدا کرد یا نه؟

امروز خودم جواب این سوالو میدونم. چون اینجام. دانشگاه بدی نیست البته تو مهندسی عمران. رنک خوبی نداره ولی بچه ها میگن فارغ التحصیلاش راحت کار پیدا میکنن. ایرانی هم کم نداره. تو هر گرایش مهندسی حداقل 5 تا دانشجوی ایرانی داره.
