Dr Nader Azizi
Lecturer in Operations Management
University of Kent
In a broad outline, Nader’ research interests can be categorized as operational research (e.g., mathematical optimization), computational intelligence (e.g., metaheuristics, swarm optimization and evolutionary algorithms) and human-centred design (e.g., workforce flexibility acquisition, task rotation and scheduling).
His current research focuses on strategic design and operational planning of logistics networks. More specifically, in his ongoing researches Nader investigates the effect of random facility disruptions and congestion in networks that employ hub-and-spoke topologies.
