In general, I agree with Countdown! Out of the 4 choices, usually 2 of them are obviously wrong, while the other 2 might both SEEM correct! The key word here is SEEM! In other words, if you read the text carefully in detail and completely understand what it's trying to say, you will find the correct answer 99% of the time. In my opinion, if you answer a question wrong, don't read the explanation to the answer. Go back and read the text more carefully and try to analyze the text in greater detail. Sometimes just one single word can throw you off! You think you've understood the text and you assume that you completely know the meaning of the surrounding sentences, but in fact, this is not the case. So go back, read it again and try to understand yourself why you answered incorrectly!
