Eligible Schools Updated for 2013 HAND Scholarship
HAND Research Foundation has updated its list of eligible schools. Please share this information with any Persian-speaking individuals with high academic standing who are committed to pursuing a PhD in the field of economics.
Currently, one grant of up to $30,000 per academic year will awarded to cover tuition, fees, books and materials, and living expenses for a first-year PhD student studying economics.
The deadline for HAND Research Foundation’s 2013 scholarship will again be April 1. To make this a fair, competitive and merit-based process, we need to receive all applications by the deadline. Applicants must have gained admission to one of the following PhD economics programs:- Harvard University
- University of Chicago
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
- University of California- Berkeley
- Stanford University
- Northwestern University
- University of Pennsylvania
- London School of Economics (LSE)
- Columbia University
- University of Wisconsin--Madison
Please note that the list does not include top economics departments that currently provide full funding to their first year graduate students e.g. Yale, Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and New York University. We encourage you to not limit your applications to schools where HAND offers scholarships.
