نادر تهرانی، ايراني تبار و مقيم آمريكاست. ليسانس معماري خود را از دانشگاه رودآيلندRhode Island در سال 1986 و فوق ليسانس معماري و شهرسازي را از دانشگاه هاروارد در سال 1991 گرفته است. او همچنین يك دوره تحقيقاتي را در مورد تاريخ تئوري در دانشگاه AA گذرانده است. دفتر نادر تهرانی تاکنون در مسابقات بينالمللي متعددي رتبههاي بالا به دست آورده است. از جمله در مسابقه توسعه طراحي موزه رز در سال ۲۰۰۴، در مسابقه طراحي سكونتگاه طبيعي در شيلي lemental Housing)) و همچنين مركز آموزشي براي ارتباط نسلها (Intergenerational Learning Center) رتبه اول را كسب كرده است. دفتر معماري dA در سال ۲۰۰۲ برنده جايزه معماري آكادمي هنر و ادبيات آمريكا شد. مقالات زيادي در مورد كارهاي نادر تهراني و دفتر او در نشريات بينالمللي به چاپ رسيده و همچنين كارهاي دفتر او بارها در دانشگاههاي معتبر از قبيل پرينستون و هاروارد به نمايش درآمدهاند. در حال حاضر نادر تهراني به عنوان استاد دانشكده معماري دانشگاه هاروارد به تدريس هم اشتغال دارد. طراحی خانه ای در نیو اینگلندموجب گشته است تا نام نادر تهرانی به همراه Ponce de Leon در میان برگزیدگان ۲۰۰۶ مجله Record قرار گیرد.

Nashid Nabian was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and earned a Master's in Architectural Engineering at Shahid Beheshti University. She pursued her post-graduate studies at the University of Toronto's Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, where she earned a Master of Urban Design degree, and received the Toronto Association of Young Architects award for her thesis on the enhancement of the Toronto Waterfront. Since 2003, she has been partner at Arsh Design Studio, a Tehran-based architecture office both nationally and internationally recognized for its projects: Dollat II, a residential apartment by Arsh Design Studio, has been short-listed for the current cycle of the Agha Khan Architecture award. She also holds a Doctor of Design degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Nashid's research focuses on the digital augmentation of architecture and constructed landscapes, particularly public spaces, and how novel technologies can impact the spatial experience by soliciting the needs and desires of inhabitants or users. In line with this research agenda, she has taught graduate seminar and design studio courses at Toronto University and Rice University. Most recently, she has taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Rodolphe El-Koury from the University of Toronto, with whom she has collaborated on various interactive installations and responsive artifacts. Her research and projects in the field of digital augmentation have been showcased in various venues, including the ACADIA, IEEE Digital Ecosystems Conference; the UCMedia Conference on User-Centric Media, the Mobile Multimedia Communications Conference, Toronto's Nuit Blanche Annual Event, New Orleans' American Institute of Architects DesCours Festival, and SEED Magazine. Currently, she is a post-doctoral fellow at MIT SENSEable City Lab, while holding a lecturer position in the Department of Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Bahram Hooshyar Yousefi / Sweden
Stockholm/Vienna-based architect & architecture/design critic (M.Arch & active member of Swedish Association of Architects and PhD candidate in TU Vienna). Yousefi writes for a wide range of design and consumer titles, is the author of several articles, and frequently teaches and lectures. He is the founder and chief editor of the first architecure and urban news agency in Persian&English and the first Persian weekly on architecture.... He manages an Architecture/Research Office at the same time and holds a M.S.P.M. degree.

Biography
Ali Modarres is Professor and Chair of the Department of Geosciences and Environment at California State University, Los Angeles. He is the editor of Cities: The International Journal of Urban Policy and Planning and serves on a number of research and policy advisory boards. Dr. Modarres earned his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Arizona and holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Landscape Architecture from the same institution. He specializes in urban geography and his primary research and publication interests are socio-spatial urban dynamics and the political economy of urban design. He has published in the areas of immigration, race and ethnicity in American cities, social geography, transportation planning, environmental equity, and urban development and public policy. Some of his recent articles have appeared in the Journal of Urban Affairs, Cities, International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, and Anthropology of the Middle East.
