Dear Hani,
Thank you for your email.
Please be advised that we have received the attached document and it has been uploaded into iApply.
Kindly note that, RMIT University is subject to sanctions laws in regard to students from some countries wishing to enrol in particular fields of study. This means that some applications must undergo an additional and thorough internal and sometimes external review to ensure the field of research does not breach the law. Your application requires review and this means that it may take longer than usual for your application to be processed. RMIT will maintain your application for up to 12 months pending the outcome of your internal and in some cases, external reviews. For more information on sanctions, please refer to:
http://www.dfat.gov.au/un/unsc_sanctions/
We strongly recommend appointing an RMIT Representative to streamline your application. This will allow you to utilise their knowledge and expertise of the university and visa process which will streamline your application at RMIT and hopefully provide you with a faster outcome. Details of registered RMIT representatives can be found at the following link:
https://www.international.rmit.edu.au/info/agentlist/ Once you have appointed an RMIT representative, you will need to upload the necessary form (Change_Of_Rep CRL03.1-.pdf) available from the RMIT representative.
Due to Sanctions on Iran, your application cannot progress until you provide evidence that you have the financial capacity to support yourself and your dependants (onshore and offshore) for the duration of your RMIT studies. Please use the Student Visa Living Costs and Evidence of Funds details listed on the following website: (
https://www.immi.gov.au/students/stu...ving-costs.htm) as a guide to the amount required for your circumstances.
Acceptable evidence includes: a bank statement, documentary evidence of an income stream or other liquid assets if funds in bank not currently sufficient. Education providers are required to ensure students can demonstrate evidence of being a temporary genuine entrant which includes assessing the financial capacity to complete their program as part of the Australian Government's Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) program.
If you have any sponsorship/scholarship arrangements please ensure you provide us with details, including full financial documents from the third party confirming the amounts they will be committing to.
Please provide evidence of these documents as soon as possible.
We thank you for your interest to study at RMIT University and thank you for your patience.
Kind regards,
Ishara
