من یه ایمیل از استادی گرفتم:
You have a good resume, but I don’t have sufficient funding to cover an international doctoral student for the entire period of studies. If you have funding from other sources, you’re more than welcome to apply. You may also consider the scholarships which are for incoming
doctoral students. Of course, these are prestigious scholarships and competitive.
من متوجه نشدم که ایشون کلا فاند ندارن یا گفتن فاند برای دوره کامل تحصیل ندارن؟؟
بنظر دوستان ازشون چطور بپرسم که آیا جای خالی دارن که من اپلای کنم و میتونن منو سال اول ساپورت کنن تا بعد بتونم برای اسکالرشیپ اقدام کنم؟

در این پاسخ عنوان شده که نمی تونند در کل دوره تحصیلیتون شما رو پشتیبانی مالی کنند...
نظرتون رو به scholarship ها جلب کردند و البته رقابتی بودن اونها...!

من بعد از امتحان GRE یه ایمیل زدم به استادی که همیشه باهاش در ارتباطم و گفتم این شد نمره هام(البته کم شدن نمره ها)، بهش گفتم که دوباره امتحان بدم یا همینا خوبن؟ جوابش این بوده؟ به نظرتون منظورش این بوده که دوباره امتحان بدم یا براش همین نمره ها راضی کننده بوده. البته رنک دانشگاه تو رشته من 50 و در امریکا هست.

به نظر من not very good رو میشه به معنی نظر مثبت به نمرات بهتر استنباط کرد...

If you are changing your major, you probably dont have a nice background in the field that you are going to apply (I might be wrong, but it is ok), you can consider this email as a positive template, which means you cannot rely on for admission or fund, and it is not nothing on the otherhand. Compare your resume with university requirement and try to have sense about your chance for getting admission by competing with other applicants.
If you want to know he/she has any positions or specific project that his/her new student may work on, you can ask him/her

Feel free to be disagree with what I said as I have a limited knowledge.
He/she needs some more information to provide a good answer for your question about funding. When you plan to apply is what he/she needs to know to see he/she can fund you after the first year or not.

دوستان با توجه به نداشتن نمره GRE در رزومه ارسالی و اینکه تو ایمیل گفتم فلان وقت امتحان خواهم داد. باز به نظر دوستان این ایمیل چند درصد علاقه استاد رو نشون میده؟ (یه سری از دوستان میگند کلی هست و نمیشه روش حساب کرد و یه سری میگند کاملا متمایز از ایمیل های کلی هست)
