Due to single-entry visa issuance, meeting family and relatives is of much difficulty for Iranian students. Iranian students must apply for a USA visa in other countries such as Armenia, United Emirates, or Turkey. Reapplying for a visa in this specific way is more costly, time-consuming, and has a long clearance duration. Thereby, it's risky and could indeed interfere with a student's academic program and responsibilities in his/her university.
An alternative would be parents' traveling to the USA to visit their dear ones. But this trip is especially expensive and difficult. It includes a trip to aforementioned countries and renting an apartment in the USA which are not simply affordable for all families, considering the low relative rate of Iran's currency. Also, in this way a student cannot see his/her relatives and siblings.
Students from Iran like all other students are involved in very helpful projects at universities of the USA, helping to build a better, safer, and more peaceful world. In general, the key is to distinguish between people and their government, as the former is not necessarily the representative of the latter’s decrees.
We, similar to all students, care about our dear ones. Please sign this petition so that most Iranian students could obtain multiple-entry visa, similar to most international students, and be able to visit their dear ones without the distress of long visa clearance periods, risk of rejections, and the pressure of high expenses for parents and family members.

VirtualUSEmbassyTehr@state.gov
eyreae@state.gov
I emailed Alan Eyre, I think everybody should do so. If we were from other nationality like Indians, Chinese or Mexicans, we were so much more connected and allied . But Iranians as a nation, do not like teamwork and they love to nag. If and only if this petitions and emails have only 1% chance, it worth 10 minutes of your time, "The only" person who can change this process, is Obama himself and the most effective thing we can do is to email Alan Eyre. Everybody, please cooperate and spread the word.

:To whom it may concern
This is an open letter to express the concerns of many Iranian students who are waiting to receive their student VISA to study in US. During the last years
there has been always a long consideration on Iranian students’ applications in the whole VISA issuance processes. It is of course understandable to wait for necessary administrative processing to receive the VISA, however during the last months, in addition to the technical problems that happened in all US consulates worldwide which of course burdened more delays for many applicants’ cases, there have been unexpected and unknown delays for Iranian students in updating their applications after their interview. As such, some returning students have missed their summer appointments and funding opportunities, many new applicants are considering differing the fall semester to spring, and because of the long clearance process, some may miss the whole opportunity to study in US because they may miss the entry time imposed by their schools which would not be changed or differed
All students who have gotten this opportunity to study in US are all top students in Iran and also have been evaluated among all top students around the world by American schools to get the admission, so given that all Iranian applicants have passed these competitive steps, and considering the current students who are studying in US at the present time, it is well clear that what matter for us is just the education. We hope to see your consideration to this matter to help Iranian students receive their VISA in the timely manner and well enough before the semester begins
.Thank you for attention to this matter
