Promoter: Patrick Reynaert

Description: As the operating frequency of integrated circuits increases, it becomes feasible to develop integrated systems on a single chip, including the antenna.

This Ph.D. research will focus on the integration of antenna's in Silicon technologies (CMOS) and will investigate the opportunities for antenna-circuit co-design. The target is integrated solutions >100GHz and the research will be on both antenna and circuit design in CMOS at mm-wave frequencies.

Applicants should have a strong background in analog and RF IC design, and should have some publications or design experience in this field.
