Regarding: IADCES
It is our regrettable duty to alert you to a counterfeit website which purports to be the website of Engineering Optimization. The website has been created by the “International Agency for Development of Culture, Education and Science” or “IADCES”. “IADCES” claims to be a partner of Taylor & Francis, and attempts to solicit submission and publication fees from unwary authors. “IADCES” presents information copied from the Taylor & Francis Engineering Optimization website, including copying the names and affiliations of editorial board members. Having charged authors, it appears papers are, as far as we are able to discern, never published.
IADCES claims to publish in co-operation with a number of other well-established journals from other publishers.
This matter recently came to light after we were contacted by authors who had been approached by IADCES.
For the avoidance of doubt, Taylor & Francis has no relationship with IADCES.
We are in collaboration with other publishers exploring whether a takedown notice can be effectively served on IADCES. This may be a challenge as its provenance is ambiguous.
We are therefore informing everyone associated with Engineering Optimization about the situation, including all Editors, Editorial board members and Authors.
We are also supporting the Think. Check. Submit. Campaign – see Author Services Submitting an article? Think. Check. Submit.
We urge you to make your colleagues and prospective authors aware as appropriate, and should you be approached by IADCES, please do pass the communication onto us at Taylor & Francis.
Kind Regards,
Ian Challand
