دوستان این فرصت ها در دانشگاه لی -دن هلند است و شامل دو فاند دکتری کامل و تمام وقت است و مسوول پروژه ها Professor Albert de Jong. هستند. فرصت ها که تحت عنوان پاسداران آتش (Keepers of the Flame) نامگذاری شده اند در مرکز مطالعات مذهبی در دانشکده علوم انسانی برگزار میشود و ناظر بر نقش مغها ۱- در دوره ساسانی و ۲- اوایل اسلام است یعنی هر کدام یک عنوان دکتری برای یک نفر است.

عنوان فرصتها دکتری در مطالعات ایران است. حقوق بین ماهیانه ۲۲۰۰ تا ۲۹۰۰ یورو تعیین شده و از امروز بیش از ۴۰ روز تا مهلت ارسال تفاضا باقیمانده که برای مطالعه و نوشتن چهارچوب کار فرصت مناسبی است. مصاحبه ها هم در اواخر سپتامبر اعلام شده است.

شرایط انتخاب فرد مناسب به طور کلی اینجاست :

Selection criteria


  • An MA degree in Iranian or Middle Eastern Studies, or in the Study of Religion. Candidates near completion of the degree will be considered;
  • Demonstrable interest in theorizing pre-modern religions;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Willingness to work in an international and competitive research environment;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of and in support of a larger team;

Applications should be in English, and be submitted by email, with the items listed below included in this order in one single PDF document named ‘FAMILY NAME – Given name – 18-xxx’:

  • A CV including education and employment history and publications;
  • A letter of motivation;
  • A 3-page research proposal, elaborating one of the two research topics specified above, in relation to the overarching theme of the project. The research proposal should be accompanied by an annotated sample bibliography of no more than two pages;
  • A writing sample in English of 10-20 pages (e.g. (part of) MA thesis);
  • Names, positions and email addresses of two referees (no reference letters).

Interviews, including short research presentations, are planned for the end of September 2018.
