سلام دوستان در سایت دانشکده برق این دانشگاه مقادیر توصیه شده تافل و جی آر ای رو به شرح زیر زده که خیلی بالاست به نظرم. میخوام بدونم این توصیه شده با مقادیر مورد نیاز فرق داره؟ یعی requirement با recommended؟

دوستان از ایمیل زیر چه برداشتی می کنید؟

نمیدونم اپلای کنم یا نه! منظورش اینه که استاد دیگه شاید دانشجو بخواد از این دانشگاه؟؟؟ به بقیه میل بزنم یا اپلای کنم یا اصلا امیدی نیست؟

Unfortunately, until the application committee has formally ruled on your case, I cannot tell you anything about your chances for either admission or financial aid. This is a university policy that I cannot circumvent.

Note that both teaching and research assistantships at Virginia Tech are highly competitive and funding varies greatly from year to year.The number and quality of applicants has also risen sharply and thus decisions on financial aid are not made until we have admitted you (i.e., the admission and financial aid process are separate but tied). Your desire to work with me is flattering but at this point I have five Ph.D. students that are beginning their work and thus I will not be able to take any new ones in the near future. In addition, and unfortunately, as you are well aware there are still serious problems getting USA visas for Iranian students. That is an area where I also cannot provide any support.

Finally, please note that I receive numerous requests like yours every week. I try to respond politely and promptly to all, but only to the first email, as I cannot do anything until you have made a formal application. If you try to engage me in a long email thread, I will not be able to respond in a timely manner.

منم دقیقا همین سوال ذهنم رو راجع به Vtech مشغول کرده....
حالا تافلش که خوبه ولی نمره AWA خیلی بالاست, یکم مشکل هست همچین نمره ای گرفت ...اونم دانشجوی ایرانی....
ولی تا اونجای که من چک کردم وبسایت های دانشگاه های مختلف رو
این نمره مربوط به میانگین GRAD school هست یعنی کل دانشجو های تحصیلات تکمیلی (حالا نمی دونم این نتیجه گیری تا چه حد درست باشه یا نه) من که خودم امسال اپلای می کنم اینجا واسه برق
اما دوستانی بودن که با نمره Q167 V146 W3 توی برق پذیرش گرفتن....

تا اون جایی که می دونم, خیر. ددلان داره و زمانی ددلان دپارتمان رسید بررسی اپلیکنت ها شروع میشه.

من از graduate coordinator برق پرسیدم که شما نمره gre بالا واسه مینیموم خواستین یعنی هر کی زیر این مینیموم باشه ریجکت هست یا به آیتم های دیگه هم توجه دارید که این جواب رو دادن:

Admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Virginia Tech is very competitive, and your chances of being admitted will differ from year to year depending on the strength of the applicant pool.
I appreciate you sending me your CV, we will evaluate your application materials once you officially apply to the Graduate school.

دوست عزیز، درسته که اینجوری میگن ولی معمولا اگه جی آر ای خوب نداشته باشین (حداقل بالای 305)، پذیرش نمیدن اگه هم بدن فاند نمیدن (مگه اینکه رزومتون خیلی خیلی قوی باشه) زیر مینیمم که دیگه جای خود داره!
میخواستم بگم اگه واقعا هر کدوم از آیتم های جی آر ای تون زیر مینیمم هست بامید این ایمیل اپلای نکنین. البته این فقط نظر شخصی منه.

جی آر ای هم همونه. همون اول رد نمیکنن ولی از آخر رد میکنن

من می خواستم مطمئن بشم که این مینیمم ها مثل تافل نیست. چون شما وقتی مینیمم تافل رو نداشته باشی کلا همون اول پروندتون رد میشه ×!

دوستان یه سوال مهم داشتم، یکی از اساتید تو فرستادن توصیه نامه تنبلی میکنه و من میترسم قبل از ددلاین نتونم سابمیت کنم اپلیکشنم رو، میشه پول اپلیکشن رو بدم و سابمیت کنم بعد توصیه نامه رو بفرسته؟ یا باید منتظر بشینم تا توصیه نامه فرستاده بشه بعد سابمیت کنم؟؟؟
